Bearclaw Petroglyph:

Bearclaws are common petroglyphs and are found throughout wooded regions that were inhabited by native Americans, particularly in the Pacific Northwest. Bears are thought to represent strength, power, and long life. The claw markings on rock may have been carved simply as a warning to others that bears were present in the area.
